YOUTH COMPANY, Competitions & local events

Star Dance Academy is excited to announce auditions for our 2026–2027 Youth Company Season. We are looking for dedicated, passionate dancers who are ready to grow, train with intention, and represent our studio with excellence.

This is your opportunity to be part of our inaugural Youth Company season and help build something truly special from the very beginning.

Hip Hop Company is designed for dancers who want to focus primarily on hip hop while still being part of our company training environment.

Dancers in this group will train alongside the company, while also receiving additional hip hop-focused training and attending specific mandatory classes tailored to their style.

Open to boys and girls of all ages.

Classes include:

• Hip Hop 
• Breakdance 
• Strength & Flexibility 
• Company Rehearsals 
• 
  

Dancers in this track will attend hip hop-focused competitions as well as all styles competitions throughout the season.

This is a great option for dancers who are passionate about street styles and want to grow technically while still experiencing the energy and commitment of a competition team.

Please include Dancer's full name and date of birth as well as Parent/Guardian's name. Once we receive your email, we will add your dancer to our audition list.

All dancers will be evaluated in the following styles:

• Ballet
   
• Jazz Technique
   
• Hip Hop
   
• Ballroom
   

A portion of the audition choreography will be sent via video one week prior to the audition date. Dancers are expected to learn and prepare the assigned material before arriving.

Additional choreography and technique combinations will be taught on the day of auditions.

Please also bring:

• A headshot (does not need to be professional—a printed photo taken on a phone is perfectly fine) 
• A short dance résumé outlining the dancer’s experience (if any)
